Introduction

Welcome to MRCSMCQ, an online question bank platform dedicated to preparation for the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (MRCS) Part A exam. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MRCSMCQ website, services, and content (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

Definitions

  • “Subscriber” refers to any User who has paid for and been granted access to premium content and features.

Subscription

Payment and Billing

  • By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method.
  • All payments are non-refundable except as provided in these Terms or required by law.

  • Users are responsible for applicable taxes (other than those based on our income).

Auto-Renewal

  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term.
  • Renewal will be charged at the current rate of your plan.
  • You may disable auto-renewal at any time via your account settings or by contacting support.
  • Cancellation will apply at the end of the current billing period.

Subscription Termination

  • You may cancel your subscription anytime.
  • No refunds are provided for unused subscription periods, unless required by law.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate subscriptions for violations of these Terms.

User Accounts

Registration

  • You must register to access certain features of the Service.
  • Registration requires accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and all activity under your account.

Account Security

  • Notify us immediately of unauthorised account use or security breaches.
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from your failure to safeguard account credentials.

Permitted Use

Restrictions

  • No ownership rights are transferred to you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Medical Information

  • Content is for educational purposes only and not a substitute for professional medical training, advice, or practice.
  • MRCSMCQ does not guarantee that Content fully reflects the MRCS Part A syllabus, as exam requirements evolve.

No Guarantees

  • We do not guarantee exam success through use of our Service.
  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • MRCSMCQ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill).
  • Total liability is capped at the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data.

Modifications

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service without prior notice. Updates to these Terms will be posted on the site, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.

Termination

  • Breach of these Terms;
  • Violation of third-party rights or applicable laws.

Severability & Waiver

  • If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
  • Failure to enforce rights does not constitute a waiver.

Assignment

  • You may not assign these Terms without prior written consent.
  • We may assign them freely without restriction.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and MRCSMCQ, superseding any prior agreements.
